When satisfied, the relevant Broadcom ,inux driver will be acquired, the firmware within will be extracted and installed. Hence this bug is not related to this patch.

If 4b3 bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag ‘kernel- fixed-upstream’. The open-source brcmfmac driver is available from the brcm module of the linux kernel package, maintained upstream by the linux kernel community.
