So I can’t run any system information programs that will acuratily tell me what the hell is under the hood. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! If you go to mrmemory. Are you a Gateway Computer and Internet Expert? This page has a list of the components and part numbers and stuff, but it’s all integrated chips and stuff, so I can’t download the drivers from the manufacturers’ own sites. If I could dip you and your loved ones in gold and shower you with lavish gifts to help I would.

Oh, one idea I had is that if there are similar models that were released like last month, but with XP instead of Vista, their support pages should have the proper drivers Answered on Oct 07, This is an opportune time to mention a “by design bug” included in Vista, when used in a dual boot situation.
The power button could be bad. I have one of those usb wireless adapters that should work before I get a replacement card. Your wireless connection should work perfectly.
I wasn’t sure if I should start a new thread or not for my similiar aireless. Went in ok, but had more problems with things like Sound card, Display, Lan etc. I called and complained to gateway, they dont care, I called marvell, they dont work with the end user.

I can’t really deal with a lot of computer downtime right now I bought this laptop to replace a suddenly broken one, so it’s my primary pcso I’m going to stick with Vista for the time being The time now is I think you may not have looked in the right area – htt p: I know it is a Sigmatel but I have yet to get one of the drivers working on it.
How is the laptop with XP? Please assign your manual to a product: The ‘track pad’ works automaticly, as does the graphics card I’m not impressed with Gateway and I’m still having problems with this laptop. I fixed my GT this way. See if you can get more details about your unknown device by following this procedure. There’s an integrated media card reader that would be nice to get working, too I have two gateway MX’s bought at Best Buy, they came pre-loaded with Vista, but I didn’t want Vista on them, not compatable with company applications.

Gaheway can’t use Vista due to incompatabilities with some of the software their employer uses. The Tek-Tips staff will check this out and take appropriate action.
These are all the drivers necessary except for the wlan card in the Disabled built in wifi and purchased USB N adaptor and blue screen.
It was too busy calculating the time remaining to download the files that it didn’t actually finish the file download.
